very nice coin indeed, Have you had this coin a long time? I'm curious about the toning ..It seems to perfect in the way it surrounds the peripheries..Or this this normal?

That is a GORGEOUS bust half! It looks very familiar, did I see this on the PCGS forum? I'd give it a very PQ XF-45, and it would look terrific in my album. :-)

Very nice, Peaceman! Is she slabbed? From the pics, I would lean towards xf-40 to 45.

Great Toning! I would say XF-45* for eye appeal. To me the toning looks natural. I have seen bust halves with subdstantial toning around edges only.

Thanks. This is the very first bust half I've ever bought. I had no intentions of buying it or going into the series (I collect Peace $ Vams only) but when I found it on a dealer's website I had to overpay for it.. :) I've only owned it about 3-4 weeks and yes, I have the same handle on the PCGS board. Here are the sellers pictures which I really liked although saturated. The last picture will answer some questions about quality/grade.. :)

I agree, original, natural toning and very beautiful. I also agree on grade: Solid EF-45 and possibly AU-50 if there is significant luster remaining. If it were my coin I'd want to get it graded by PCGS to get a professional judgment as to the non-AT nature of the color. I think having it slabbed will also add a layer of protection to help preserve the current appearance. [ Oops! Somehow the slab image did not show on my screen before I made my post. So, it's PCGS-verified as natural toned, which is terrific. I agree it deserves a higher grade for superior eye appeal.] Did you get it from Anaconda? They always seem to have beautiful (and expensive!) toned classic coins.

Didn't get it from Anaconda... Here's my 2nd CBH I've ever bought. Couldn't get the photo right to show the "original" surfaces so it went in for truview at PCGS on a cross. Was NGC 45

I also agree your coin is a PCGS undergraded solid XF45. Very nice original coin in an older green slab to boot! Toning generally takes to the protected devices in these slightly worn silver coins, thus the peripheral toning. Looks A#1 to me :-)
