When I started buying Internet sales from mint in 1999 they shipped all Internet sales with no shipping fees. I think this was to encourage and promote the website. I was bummed when they changed that policy!

I remember the free shipping also. I would think that with all they money they are making on overprices items like rolls for example that they could afford to pay the shipping.

I'm seeing completed listings at $130-$140 not close to $200, am I looking at the wrong place?

I am seeing the same thing, at least for recent sales. I have to search down the list a couple days to see anything above $150. I only see five sales above $190, the highest being $219.95 (with free shipping) on the 18th.

You're looking in the right place. Prices have fallen the last few days as ebay got flooded with flippers.

$200 was the going rate early on and it might return to that level after the "flipper flood" passes.

I remembered that the set was going on sale at about 10:45 pm on
10/16/2009.So what the heck,give ordering a set a shot.
I didn't have my mother,in-laws,father,sisters,or brothers order for
me.Buying more than one set or trying to buy more set remined me of
Bernie Madoff.
I was able to buy one set at that time.My set came in the mail on
11/2/2009.It won't be opened because I want to have the set graded by
PCGS.
I collect coins for the joy of coins.I hope that the people who
cheated to received more than set get their big bucks on e-bay.
I'm not going to put my set on e-bay however I'm willing to part
with it for $5000.00 Do you all think I'll have any takers in the coin
collecting world?

That's the first time I've someone compare stealing $50 billion and leaving thousands of people broke with buying two sets of coins.

P.S. PCGS is not grading these as sets, so go ahead and open it.

Collectors want to enjoy the coins right?

WOW !.... ........ummm.......well.....little ole me had my mother try for one and succeeded. And so, I now have "two" (of which I'm SO overjoyed to own !) But they aren't going up for sale on ebay.....I've never sold a coin in my LIFE, and certainly not on ebay. But those who "do" partake in trying to "profit" off of selling coin materials isn't "wrong" at all.....I don't do it.....but it isn't bad behavior to find ways to make extra money.
I get doubles and triples of Sets whenever I can for a couple of different reasons. The primary one is, that 30-40 years from now when I'm around my fathers age or older, and I have very little in savings......no 401K plan......no nest egg of any kind......health problems and health care that come with old age equals money......no social security left (or whatever IS there, doesn't help enough).....blowing the motor on my vehicle when I'm 76 years old and have no money, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc .etc etc etc. etc. etc etc etc etc etc etc..........were it to be like this for "me", that at THAT point in my life in the distant future, I MIGHT be able to supplement some bills/needs/cost at that time with some of these "doubles and triples" of "coin material" that I have.
Other ideas for having two or more of something is "gifting" them to my Nephew or my near future step-daughter, or selling a few "doubles or triples" of things to pay for a honeymoon/wedding........or an anniversary......you know......that kind of stuff.
So, one shouldn't breathe fire on folks who find ways to order more than "one per household" of a coin item, and call them Bernie Maddoff !.........Dude.....that ain't right my friend !

PCGS and NGC will only grade the coins as standard Proof Coins,
with no special attribution for their being sourced from the LN6 Set.

So you'd ruin the integrity of the OGP for nothing, by sending it in!

Before you criticize those who want to keep more than one Set,
remember that some would think that you wanted to slab the
coins just to increase the resale value of your Set (which is now
less likely, without there being any special attribution of the
LN6 coins from the TPGS'es)!

Some would even be of the opinion that 'real collectors' keep modern
coins 'raw' or in the OGP as applicable (since 'real collectors'
don't intend to 'quickly' sell them), and that profiteers are the
ones who slab newly issued coins (as an assurance to potential
buyers, especially for online purchases). This is just some of the
opinionated kind of discussion that I was overhearing at the coin
show last weekend...

wow...play nice :)

Let's just agree that people have their own views on what others do and have done, but let's not let this be the forum to judge that. Let's keep this on enjoying the nice lincoln set!
