Got mine yesterday when I got home. It was sitting in my mailbox. I cracked it open for a look and its a P MM. Still a beautifully done set. I did notice that the pennies did seem to be a bit tarnished. I know about the alloy change but didnt get a chance to really look hard. I will check them out this weekend.

I would love to see some of those old catalogs, that, would be a treat....
The good old days, sitting down, looking through a you S Mint catalog and deciding what, for cents on the dollar, trying to figure out what, you would like to have shipped to your home, I personally, have never seen one........

I sold mine on ebay this morning and it sold in less than 10 minutes after listing it. Got hit pretty hard with the fees. The FVF was $12 and the Paypal fee was $4.65. |

When I started buying Internet sales from mint in 1999 they shipped all Internet sales with no shipping fees. I think this was to encourage and promote the website. I was bummed when they changed that policy!

I remember the free shipping also. I would think that with all they money they are making on overprices items like rolls for example that they could afford to pay the shipping.

I consider my self lucky because I ordered at 8:28pm on 10/16 order#33231xxx, and at that time mint said they were sold out and I would be put on backup list.
