WCG isn't a 3rd party grading service, that is why you can't find any graded that high anywhere, because it hasn't been graded. It was just placed in a plastic case and some one placed a over rated label with an inflated grade on it trying to catch an unsuspecting collector that can't grade and doesn't know any better. That coin would grade nowhere near MS-67 at a real 3rd party grading company

This same seller has a WCG graded MS-66 $10 Indian Eagle which might make the AU-50 grade.

Trust your instincts, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. I am not familiar with WCG as a grading service. The coin itself shows a few nicks on it. If it were a true MS-67, I'm sure the seller would have sent it in to PCGS or NCG for grading, not WCG. It seems like an overgraded coin to me.

World Coin Grading (WCG) is a self-slabbing service as mentioned previously. The grades are fantasy and most are problem coins (cleaned and whizzed). I see these offered all the time on ebay. I wouldn't pay more than melt despite being a key date.

#1 As others have said, WCG is a self slabber and their grades are not to be trusted. #2 A 1928 Peace dollar is a key date and you will frequently encounter 1928S coins with the mint mark removed or altered 1923 coins. The pictures of this coin are lousy and you cannot be sure that it is not an altered coin. #3 Run away as fast as you can

Coin is good but nowhere close to MS-67, and as the others have said WCG is a low end third tier service (It has actually been around for six years so I don't call it a fly-by-night but they are most likely a self slabber.)

When I first got back into coins, I purchased a morgan in a "garage seller" slab like that. The seller had graded it MS-64 and labeled it as a more valuable "micro O"(I can't remember the date off hand). Anyways, when I received the coin, it was not a micro-o first of all and the grade was, at best, a harshly cleaned XF-40. I am still upset about it to this day as to how misleading these slabs can be. As said before, the grade given on that slab means absolutely nothing. If I were to guess at the grade of the OP coin, I would say it's a highly polished AU-50. I wouldn't be surprised if it had an altered mintmark as well. When I see grades on slabs like that, it is obvious to me that the slabber is INTENTIONALLY trying to be deceitful. I'd rather have it raw.

If you want a laugh, just visit the WCG webpage http://www.worldcoingrading.com/They try to pass themselves off a as legit 3rd party grading service and will accept your coins for grading ... the caveat: They refuse the right to reject any coin (read all submissions), charge $50 per coin with 10 coin minimum (PCGS offers $18 economy, no minimum, for the same turn-around time). This page only exists as an attempt at legitimacy.

Thanks for all the advice.
I'll steer clear of this one.
Cheers

From the WCG Website: Quote: WCG is an independent third-party coin grading service. At WCG we grade our coins with the utmost integrity and highest quality. All coins are carefully graded and preserved in our special holders. Each coin comes with it's own serial number and and an official WCG logo. Just by the looks of the website, you can tell this is a terrible grading service. They don't tell you much information about the company and their history. This company is a basement slabber.

Watch this video! In the video I talk about self/garage/basement slabbers.. WCG IS THE ONE I WAS TALKING ABOUT ON ebay. :) These guys in NYC have made a fortune slabbing their own stuff and selling it on ebay. BAD BAD BAD grading company and coin shop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03kuXf0x1Qg
