I did the same as nolawyer, I used one of the holes for a clad Kennedy half, as I felt it should be part of a type set.

I just picked up the 1925 Stone Mountain half this past weekend at the Southwest Money Show in Houston. I got it because I've always liked the design, I found a nice example for sale AND the price was very appealing! It's the only pre-1982 commemorative I own. As for the other three I want to put in my 7070, I'm not sure. As a Texan I plan on securing the Texas half one of these years, but the other two are wide open right now.

Thank you everyone for sharing your 7070 halves! This has been very educational! It's going to be a while before I can really start adding to this section, but I'm starting to get an idea of what I might want now.

I have two older and two modern 1920 Pilgrim 1925 Stone Mountain 1982 George Washington 1991 Mount Rushmore While I like these coins, I have to say I got them because they were a good price, for example I traded a AU Ben Franklin for the George Washington and bought the stone mountain from a friend for $20 I am sure before I complete the book I will have some better grade older comm's ount Rushmore

Like Goldrush, I thought it would be nice to have two older halves and two modern halves. My few commemorative halves are the less expensive ones. Right now I have a Columbia Exposition and a Washington/Carver half for the older ones. For the modern, I have a Washington 250th Anniversary. And I still have an empty hole. (I'm saving my money for a Trade dollar)

When I was working on a 7070, the 4 I had in there were a 1915-S Pan Pac in VF, a 1923-S Monroe Half in XF, a 1982-D Washington and a 1989 S Bicentennial of Congress half. I actually kept all of these aside from the Washington when I gave up on the 7070 and sold all of the 19th century coins that cost me way too much money to sit there and bore me. As for the dollar, I had a gorgeous proof Dolley Madison in there, which I also still have.
