I probably am registered on 30 forums and have posted on them at one time or another Currently I am down to 3 forums active and another 3 lurking
On every forum I ever visited there were people that found kindred spirits and if they had some time they would respond to those kindred spirits first .
On one reputable forum one of the moderators stated that the highest possible praise one could get was to be totally ignored . Of course I attained that lofty status and since they crashed I did not even bother to re register
I am convinced this is the most friendly and most helpfull forum on the net for a newby or to gather knowledge . TSOTL I hope you will stick around because you seem to fit the profile

TSOTL, I am so sorry that you feel that way. I have been a member of many forums and seen many trades and sales go badly because the posting minimum was set at 10 or 20 or there was no posting limit at all. It is from experience that I developed the rules for this forum in an attempt to avoid bad situations. I hope that you decide to stay with us. Metalman, I know that it was an honest mistake. We all make them. It was my fault for not changing the forum text in the first place.

Maybe for some people it's easy. As I previously posted I'm not that talkative and my time online is generally limited. Like many other newbs I don't have the experience or knowledge to answer very many questions that others throw out so I have to fit in posts where I can. The only reason I posted about this was because I felt that Kerry67 and Ichirensha's concerns were being blown off. Everyone tends to look at things based on their own perspective and since the people who were responding to them are regular posters there wasn't a problem as far as they are concerned. Relax everyone, I'll get fifty and I doubt I'm going anywhere. I've been hanging around since early May and this is my twentieth post, I think, so it will be a bit but if I was here only for the buy/sell/trade aspect I would have forced more posts and got there by now. Either that or bolted.

Atleast We didnt ask for 100 posts Some people just get on the forum, spam and try to sell, we tried to avoid that. It has happened before.

Hi TSOTL
Kerry , Ichirensha nor you have been blown off, In fact as has been stated, I was at fault for not knowing about the Member qualification to buy on the forum,, which was the beginning of this thread, That has been righted and will not be a problem again.
although to sell or trade still have post requirements ,, The main object of this thread and Kerry's concerns have been sufficently answered.

I will have to say welcom to the forum, hang in there this is a great forum the best I belong to maybe 6 total and they are wonderful as well but do not seem to protect the values of which it was created on and .. The small burden's that may come are way in life usually pan out to be something so much greater... I am Anti-ebay and anything associated to it, but I will buy from any of the sellers from this forum Community(FAMILY) with out a single worry..

Welcome to the forum TSOTL.. TSOTL even if you answer a question wrong you can learn from it, so answer the question wrong, some one will try to give the right answer- for your and everyone elses eductaion. No one here will shun you for it. Even though I may not agree with some statements on this paticular thread.. I feel its okay to voice your opionion.. And I truly admire that.. Everyone here will welcome you with open arms.. and treat yo with respect.. I am not the most social person in the world .. (my beliefs directed at people are in my opionion to be truly right, but considered to be harsh by many others I exspect alot from people) "To military I guess". But I can say being relatively new to the computer and extremly new to this cyber world stuff( forums etc and all).. I can say I found a home with qualities I expect and live by( willing to die for)in these people and say based on what I believe, the forum memebers (family will try to include you in all that is done and will not treat you like you are stupid or make you feel like your answer was unwanted. Everyone here comes from all different walks of life, all different races, walks, creeds, religions {or not}, and from all over the world .. Welcome to the forum, if I can personally help you in anyway let me know I will do my best.. and I am sure that goes for the majority..

Why are you anti ebay? Do you think there are a lot of fraudulent offers, or what?

A lot of people are anti-ebay with very good reason. There are a lot of scams out there trying to rip off new collectors, like gold plated silver sackies and the infamous SGS grading company. Of course there are honest sellers out on ebay, and several forum members are included on that list. The problem is that ebay doesn't police its coin listings well enough, so lot of scams are still out there.

well diane I see to many people getting ripped off and hear of the lack of protection that is offered by ebay and it seems to me that ebay conforms and or bends alittle to its biggest money makers, know this is just my opionion. but like I said there are people on this forum who sell there that I would be confident to buy from and bid on there auctions and would not hesitate to spend a little more on there auctions, because of the peace of mind I would get knowing of there principals and integriety.. Sorry for the misspellingggggg I seem to think faster than my typing ability allows.. oh and Diane not to say there arn't quality sellers out there that I do not know.. I am sure there are .. I just find it hard to bid on something that isn't in hand or actuall sight.. These statement are all my own and derived from my onw observations and or experiances etc. And are not meant by any means to discourage others from buying or selling on ebay..
