The link went to a P mint 1921 Morgan, but the price is laughable.

Quote: The link went to a P mint 1921 Morgan, but the price is laughable It is laughable. I'm going to watch it tomorrow morning and see what they say. The title of the link says a P-Mint dollar, but in the lower right corner of the first page is a section that says "What You Get" and it says a 1921 O-Mint Morgan dollar and a Metal box.

It says "P" or "Philadelphia" in multiple places in that ad while only mentioning "O" once. So I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they just made a typo.

Your thread title is redundant, SilverTurtle. "Unnecessary price" and "HSN" are synonyms.

Giving the benefit of the doubt, the O is next to the P on the keyboard. But even so, that is a ridiculous price.

Quote: Your thread title is redundant, SilverTurtle. "Unnecessary price" and "HSN" are synonyms. I agree. The Gold Coins they sell on there are sold at 2 Times Normal Value. The Goldmine Quarter Sets are not worth buying. The only thing I've seen worth buying are the Lincoln Cent Blowouts where they have BU Wheat cents, though I bet most of those are 40's and 50's. But at least you get a 1909 VDB. Quote: i wish there were decent coin TV shows, that didn't sell stuff I know how you feel. Coin TV Shows should have fair prices and not prices that are 2 to 10 times Retail. Quote: Giving the benefit of the doubt, the O is next to the P on the keyboard. Yeah plus there is no such thing as a 1921-O Morgan dollar. The Price is farfetched for that common date.

But if they do have an O dollar in an TPG capsule, I'll gladly buy it for $99!

Watched it last night but fell asleep halfway through. All I can say is wow..... They said the retail value of the P&D 24Kt State Quarter + Territorial Quarter set was upwards of $400..... Also on the 1921 Morgan they said the retail for an MS-65 would be upwards of $1000... Also, is it just me? Or does Mike Mezack always seem to be yelling?

Quote: Coin TV Shows should have fair prices and not prices that are 2 to 10 times Retail. But what's a "fair price"? Say you have a coin that you can buy retail at your local B&M shop for $100. What would be a "fair price" after these expenses Network gets 25% of the Gross, then you still have to pay for air time, studio rental, a producer, a director, a sound man, two camera men, a lighting tech, gaffer, electricians, two on air talent. That's probably a minimum and all of them at Union wages. And you will also need staff for taking orders. Even if they just had the network cut, they would have to sell that $100 for $133 just to make what the B&M shop does. I assume with all the other expenses, they have to sell at at least twice retail just to make as much as a retail shop does.
