There are two banks in my home town that I deal with. They will order halves for me, but since I am a broke college student I have to buy four or five rolls at a time. After 12 rolls I'm will on my way. Lucked up and found a few 40% silvers the other day.

Easily doable
I am deep into this set and am only missing about 6 coins from 64-03
never did a box either
with a box I'm sure I'd be done
Fun to do tho

I have almost completed a set of business-strike Kennedys only from bank rolls. I am still missing the 1987-P and D however, and I did need to buy the 1970-D as well as all the Kennedys 2006 and later.

Thanks for all the responses so far. I tried a few more bank and credit unions and had no luck. Chase said they could order them and I could buy as many (or as few) as I wanted and they would just return the rest. I guess that will be the route I will take. I was hoping to find a place that already had them so I could just buy 3-4 rolls every few weeks or so, but I guess ordering is my best and possibly only bet at this point.

I order them from other banks and return to Chase - I hope you don't get my rejects!
I have found all the dates by searching except for the 1970-D and some of the 2001 - forward NIFC's.

i have found dates from 1966 to 1986 and 1989 to 2004.
I was lucky enough to actually find a 1970d in circulation (luckily that was found in a roll so it was still in decent condition). I hope to go tomorrow to go searching for some good rolls of halves tomorrow.

70d was the only one I had to buy, it took me about a yr of searching to find everyone thru 2009.

1970 D was the only one I had to buy also. I need to upgrade my 1971 P. I just started collecting Kennedys last summer.

I went through a box plus 6 extra rolls from a different bank and got all the silver except the 64 and 67 and most of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. It was a very good mix (although tons of 76, which got annoying, but that is expected considering the number minted) I was really happy with those finds. I found a few NIFC coins too. I ended up trading and buying the NIFC that I didn't get and I just bought the 1970 mint set in order to have a nice 70d. So now I have a complete Kennedy set with a good chunk done for face value.

all of mine was face value (minus the 1965 (surprisingly I found a bunch of 1966 through 1969 but no 1965))

Ive managed to find all the business strike kennedy's except for the 70d. I've also found more than half of the proof issues, and the ones from the 70's and 80's are quite easy to find. With some patience Franklins and Walkers can be found as well, and with a bit of luck even silver commemratives and barbers too. I've filled 37 of the Walkers and completely finished my Franklin set from circulation.

Don't forget about the 1976-S silver uncirculated. You'll probably have to buy that one too.

If you go through enough rolls of coins you will eventually get a near complete set of bu Kennedy halves to include some not issued for circulation. Just keep upgrading coins when you find them. Best wishes on your search! Sincerely, John Leckrone
