The "dublin head" penny looks plastic to me.

I'm more impressed with the dublin fingerprints all over the coin.

What about that $275,000 error. It's an interesting piece (not at $275K, of course), but what kind of error is that?

the Dublin coin is obviously fake, impossible and too thick at the rim--machined?
The $275K error looks like a real strike on a bronze planchet fragment? Maybe Mike Diamond has an idea.

That's what I think of when I hear "error coin," none of these tiny little scratches, or extra little bumps in a design. To me, those things are just natural imperfections in the minting process, not "errors." A penny being struck off center or a coin with the reverse of a different denomination, that's a true "error."

I'm thinking the 275K coin was struck off center on a planchet with a straight clip. I saw a similar coin on ebay except this one looks like it was struck off center on a planchet with a curved clip:

The 275K coin is certainly a cool looking error, but for 275K I think I can live without it!

Must be an irish lincoln if it came from Dublin.
Knock off 5 zeros on the other coin and it might sell.

Here's a new one:
2005 Lincoln Memorial Tone Strike Error"
You can tell it's a an error by the manifesto written on the 2x2.
For $25K, I'll do up a whole bank box like that one.

I've had many questions about this error. That I can just clean it and it'll be like new...I cleaned it and still is light black. So this is one awesome error to have to own!

I sent a note to the"dublin head" Lincoln Cent seller telling him that it is a manufactured coin and it is impossible for one to be produced at the mint. Here is his reply to me:"Dear hockingzig,"yes many people said that, but you don“t have idea than there are some coin like this and imposible please the mint has some but thank for your opinion . look here in ebay there a 5 cents coin certificate and its cost is 125 000 dollars but I think you are an expert thankyou"

For this morning, the $2500 Dryer Coin:
"1959 Lincoln Cent penny error extra ear in back of head"

For just $1, he'll slip that gem in an envelope for you. I'm sure it will arrive no worse for wear.
