I have yet to buy a box of dimes I usually get 100 bucks in rolls to go with my box or two of nickels. In my 4 + boxes of nickels I have only found one 2009 nickel. Come to think of it in my 3 + boxes of quarters I have yet to find even one silver quarter. Maybe I am just unlucky

Good luck with the dimes. They can be fun if you have a little success.

I have done 8 boxes in the last 2 months. I found 8 silver Rosies, a handful of junk Canadain, and got extremely lucky with a 1996W dime. I think some British coins are plentiful in some areas; I have found 1.

It is a great feeling to see the silver edge among a whole lot of clad. You really should check dates, mintmarks and the possibility of errors. It takes some time, but it's the only way to know for sure.

BTW, as a teller, do come up with any great finds?

I think he was saying he searched through $600 worth of dimes. Does anyone have a rough estimate of how much the 2009 dime goes for?

10 cents or a little more if you can get someone to pay more but only bu rolls are really worth it. If any one got a 2009 box of nickels or dimes they are good for a while especially if prices continue to where there at for ex I got a box of 2009 nickels and I will say there staying with me for a long time especially since got them at face and seeing the huge premiums on them

Yea since November, I have 10 rosies, 5 40%, 2 silver washingtons, a War Nickel, and a steel cent. And one woman came in gave me 80 40%'s, but I had to cash them in because I had a speeding ticket to play

But if you brought the 80 coins to a coin shop, you could have much more money than face value. Then use that money to pay the ticket.

+1 to that stormdog. I hope you didn't just "cash" them in.

I am understanding that anything minted in 2009 seems to be worth keeping, right?
