thanks.....majority of coins came from https://www.apmex.com....thanks for the feedback...i was mostly interested in the Standing Liberty quarters but the prices for good grades were getting WAY too pricey haha so I found the chinese panda and fell instantly so these 1 oz rounds are my new thing.....starting with the entire 2011 collection and then working backwards

Same here. Started with the 2011 ASE's and I'm moving backwards. Picked up the first two years since I also bought those for my girlfriend and her brother. Getting expensive fast. I started a Lincoln and Jefferson album to help keep costs down in between purchases since I could just roll search. Yeah.....I have a feeling I'm going to be dropping some "coin" for both albums as well. Addicting isn't it?

I'm not doing anything with silver newer than the middle ages right now. The feeding frenzy for melt at spot is really turning me off.

Hey to me its more than just "silver content"......The 1 oz silver rounds are just amazing looking coins......on one hand yes it is nice to know that these coins will always hold some value due to silver's "melt" value, but on the other hand each coin has its own artistic detail that most coins don't have in my opinion.....i collect SLQ's and these 1 oz silver rounds mainly, but I will collect just about anything that trips my trigger.....these coins arn't for everyone but they are my FAVORITE!!

They're so pretty and shiny, it's VERY hard to photograph them isn't it?

very nice collection. last year I started a little 1 oz collection myself. I was thinking about working backwards but have decided to just work forward I still have to get myself the 2011 panda. dang it gets a good premium though. gainesville coins is a few cents cheaper than APMEX but doesn't have the selection.

later, dave

It's not that I cannot understand the numismatic appreciation, as many rounds are quite artful. Just the cost is what's killing me right now. It's artificially inflated and it will crash in the next year or two.

Very nice coins!
Also, I am willing to place a substantial wager on the fact that the value of silver continues on its upward trend for at least the next few years. Until the US government comes up with real solutions to its debt and deficit problem silver and other PMs will only rise in value against the dollar.

Nice coins, The pandas and philharmonics are my favorite. I usually keep a philharmonic in my pocket.
