Moe145, Have you compiled a list of the coins in a Type Set? there seems to be a bit of confusion on which coins it would contain or it would omit.
If you have the list, would you post it?
Thanks

Good questions. Moe usually has a list up on the opening post of these topics. If this will be a 7070 thread, then some things (copper v. zinc Memorials and Cu-Ag v. Cu-Ni clad Kennedy half dollars) will be omitted. There are plenty of omissions in the classic era as well. If this will be a US Type Set thread, then a definitive list will have to be created.

I have a few coins on the way that I hope make it in time! I can't wait to see your list Moe, then I can update my spreadsheet. I have abandoned the actual album because I have coins that I feel should have their own slots.

that's why I have mine in 2x2's and sheets to hold 2x2's. I am not really interested in the varieties, and added some (in the correct order) that the 7070 omits. Plus I stick in other coins, like replicas of the 1787 Fugio Cent, 1861 CSA half dollar, 1776 fugio dollar, and 1795 Flowing Hair dollar. Plus that's where I keep my planchets.

Maybe that's my way of protesting the slots that I still need coins for! Anybody know of a good photo editing software that crops circles? That way I can overlay pics of my slabbed coins onto a blank Dansco page? I can't figure out how to cut out a circle.

I haven't found a way to crop circles either.

They do seem pretty complicated... some people have lots of spare time on their hands, could be better used roll hunting

I use Paint.net (Windows) and GIMP (Linux) for my photo editing (both free for the appropriate platform). Both have a circle/ellipse select tool that work great. You can pull and stretch the selection to match the coin exactly before cropping or copying.

We can close this one then. (If we still need to discuss cropping circles, we can start a new topic for it).
