Great contest DBM and very generous, wish I had thought of it. I won't be participating because I lack the knowledge but here are my best guesses for strictly edutainment value.
1-When was the first Canadian loon dollar issued for circulation?
A) The moment after I stole the voyageur dies
2-When was the last Canadian silver dollar issued for ciculation?
A) When we adopted the Texas dictionary
3-When was the last Canadian nickel dollar issued for circulation?
A) 2012 I think
4-In what year was the last Canadian 1 dollar bill printed?
1935, the year they stopped making notes only in French, everything since then is a sham
5-What is the composition of the prize coin?
Pocket lint and zinc scrapings from all the zincolns that fall apart in my coin jar

Thanks to all who entered The answers are; 1-The first loonie was issued in 1987 2-The last silver dollar issued for circulation in Canada was 1967 3-The last nickel dollar for circulation was 1986 4-The last Canadian dollar bill was printed in 1989 5-The dollar pictured is plated .915 nickel .085 bronze Four correct entries were received.They were sent by scurry64,wheezydog,specksnyder,and AlmostCollectible  The grand prize winner as drawn from a hat by my granddaughter is AlmostCollectible  ,I'll PM you The other three correct entrants will each receive a Navy commemorative dollar as pictured,please PM me with your snail mail address.
