CoinManTim Are the coins you getting in rolls or bags? I have not found any in Chubb rolls, only in bags.

Finally found some 2010 5c in circulation here in Perth, or at least my wife did. She handed 8 of them to me today, when I got home from work. Steve

They seem to have become more common in Sydney too.

"Are the coins you getting in rolls or bags?" Armaguard changed to bags here, a few years ago for bank deliveries. Local Franklins supermarket still gets their Armaguard deliveries in rolls I think the quality of new (uncirculated) coins in rolls is far superior to bags. When I have scored some I would keep virtually all from rolls but only around 10% or 15% from bags -estimated to be in range of aUNC to UNC grade. The new coins in bags are usually very marked and scratched. I am thinking the supermarket rolls might all be sent from a central location for the state; the bags are from the local Armaguard branch at Orange. Jeff

Quote: You would know more about coins than me Not necessarily. I rarely buy small bags or rolls, so hopefully someone else will be able to comment, but $12.50 does seem a tad exy to me.

The last few days they have been going for an average of over $35 so I'd say $12.50 is pretty good, although $35 is way overpriced in my opinion.

$2 bag face value of 40 x 5c. I could understand making $10 profit so $12 is around the price. Anyway for your enjoyment someone just sold one on ebay for $17.50 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-5c-x-4...em415ff57002I don't know how good security bags are in long term investment, I made an investment in 2010 50c security bag and I lost money on them. I can even give those away nowadays! In resale of a 5c coin you are looking at $2 - $3 a coin max. fro unc to choice un. You could make $80 for a bag at $2 each. Honestly you might want to put them on ebay (break up one bag) and try to turn as much profit as possible before they flood the market. As there are no singles on offer on ebay at the moment. And I can tell you that next year you will not be able to get $80 a bag -- more like $15.50 and that's the top price. Actually the best thing to do would be like a "buy it now" with $3 a coin free postage! That will move them superfast. By the way if you are putting them on ebay I usually write taken from a security bag. I don't grade them as unc or anything.
