Well done on finding the "wavy base line" I am sure we can all appreciate the effort that goes into finding these elusive coins.

Congratulations Jeff! So far I have been searching 5 cent coins and am looking forward to higher denominations once I have filled the 5 cent pages I am looking for. I would love to find a 20c wavy in the future. I suspect that it will take me a while to find one. The bank staff where I have been going seem to like me, so that might be a good start.

"I haven't found one for the last $9910 searched (not that I'm counting)."
Who are you trying to kid Ben?
You must be just about due for one. But, probability doesn't work that way; you have just the same chance of finding one with the first coin as with the millionth coin you look at. Or, if you find one, the very next coin has equal probability of being another one. But, two in a row is a different story.

I wish and hope the law of averages work in my favour. I haven't found one for 18 months now! Although I did find 2 of them in $300 worth once (the last ones I found). I just have to keep searching I guess, although I don't have as much time as I used too!

Delicious find Jeff!
You're right about luck though. I'm currently going through 5c pieces, I get $100 from bank at a time - a couple of times found 0, mostly find 1, my best find was 4! - but it looked like a lady must have came in and emptied money tin that day because majority of the $100 was pre 1985!
Anyways... luck... was at Nan's house the other day, she had 2 bucks worth of 5c pieces sittin on her kitchen table. BAM! A shiney 1972 turns up.

I also remember having one as a kid and being told to "put it away"... I think at the time I spent it on a paddle pop and a large bag of mixed lollies - and still had change left over!
