You guys know I love the 40's san fran walkers. Always on the hunt for a decent strike. I don't know why but I pick out certain years/mint mark coins and that's what I collect! I guess I prefer having lots of my favorite year vs more of a variety. I also recently picked up a pretty good 40-s I may post later. But for today...

You vs FATTY old NGC on this 41-s walker!

Even with that little bit of open field chatter on the obverse and that dot on HALF on the reverse...
She has to be MS-65/66
Beautiful!

A very nice coin. Some "chatter" on the reverse, some mixed in with the eagle feathers and not quite sure what the abrasion is on the obverse field above "in God we Trust" all together a very nice coin, MS65, a Gem!

I think the heavy marks in the right side obverse field might hold it to MS-64.

If the marks/disturbances in the obv. right field are as harmful as they appear I would say MS 64 max. Disturbances in this major
focal area kills it for me. You eye is immediately drawn to this negative feature.

Its in an old fat NGC slab and it got a MS64. I thought it might make 65 if it were graded more recently.
