2006 $2 Large Rim Cud - Coin Community Forum

SallyG Valued Member Australia 399 Posts	Posted 09/22/2026 03:27 am I was very happy to find a really large rim Cud while noodling through a bag of $2 coins today. What made it even better was finding an identical one in the same bag. What are the odds after 20 years in circulation? I am also curious now about just how big a rim Cud can actually be. I'm going to look through my Odds and Sods collection to see if I have saved any others this large (yes, nutty fruitcake me has saved every rim Cud I have found while noodling). If I have kept anything similar or even bigger, I will post a pic. Sorry for the poor quality photo- still have to get a new tablet but I think you can see the Cud. Runs from first "E" in Elizabeth to the second '"E". Both coins seem to be identical. Anyway, happy hunting everyone. Report this Post to the Staff

I had a look at the others I have in my collection and found one more 2006 coin with the same Cud as my other two. There were a few from various years with smaller Cuds in various places around the edges. A pic below with the three 2006 coins with Cuds in the same place.
