oober Valued Member United States 467 Posts	Posted 12/12/2011 8:03 pm I have used aitites in the past, but I saw a coin capsule that when assembled with coin inside was almost invisible.The ID and OD have to be very close to each other in size. These capsules are so thin they are slightly flexible. Anyone know what manufacturer makes these? I would like to use these and 2x2's together and the least amount of space taken by the capsule/shell the better presentation in the 2x2's Thanks. They have a slight convex curve to them, so that the plastic only touches the rim of the coin. They are also hard to find. I think that they were more popular in the 1970s, and have been out of fashion for many years now. Report this Post to the Staff

Whytlash Valued Member United States 407 Posts	Posted 12/13/2011 10:13 am They're not that hard too find. Heck, even Amazon has them! Google Kointain coin holders. Kointain is the correct name (not Cointain). I had been aware of them for many years, but never ran into them. A couple years ago I got a Morgan on ebay and it came in a Kointain inside a 2x2. The coin went in my album, but I still have the Kointain. They work really well. It uses a friction fit, not a snaplock. They come in a multitude of sizes and can be found at many online retailers.
