Just a PSA here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...B:SS:US:1123

This coin ain't VF20! I'd say NMC is full of it or it's an older slab - or something. It may have F details, but it's net grade is in the lower G range. Don't get sucked in!

IF it's real, it's still a neat coin. Nothing looks "wrong" about it to me, but if the seller is trying to pawn it off as a VF, they're probably unscrupulous (OR perhaps simply don't have any idea about coins) anyway.

Happy bidding!

NNC is a notorious overgrader.
Rest in Peace

Yes. A neat coin.
But not a VF. No. Not a very fine.
The bidders are showing a strong interest, but ...
If ever there was an example of the truism:
"Buy the coin and not the holder", then this is it.
A great PSM!

I'm not calling shill...High bidder with a 42 rating has 82% of his 29 bids with this seller. That kind of number always makes me think twice.

Low-grade Chain cents with corrosion still tend to sell for thousands of dollars. This one probably has at least Fine details. If the coin is real it's a terrific bargain at the current bid ($423), despite the obvious corrosion problem (which I notice is not stated on the holder; typical NNC accuracy).

I wonder if I can scrape up enough for a winning bid....
