Years ago I picked up a Semi-Key Date Liberty nickel that had a reeded edge.

I know it was done after the fact. I got a deal on it but I still probably paid way to much.

I made an inquiry to Coins Magazine error expert Alan (I forgot his last name, doesn't matter)

He wrote me back, and I don't have a clue where the letter went, but he thought it was possible that it might have been done at a Worlds Fair in the early 1900's as I remember he said there was a gentleman that had a machine that reeded the edges of nickels and he was selling the Buffalo nickels he was doing.

Does anybody have an information on a year or who it was or any kind of info that might help me narrow down a search on the story.
