This 1988-P LMC is missing most of the FG signature on the reverse. Is this just a grease die fill

Looks more like an over polished die or damage.

with coop. Probably an overpolished die. Same sort of thing with the 1937 D 3 leg Buffalo but without all the hoopla. Here's my 1988 missing both letters.
