I see doubling on the date that isn't flat and shelf like.

Click the picture for full size. No doubt the date is doubled but I don't know if it's MD or not. Only the date is doubled as far as I can tell.

I don't think you need coop...1970 LD with Machine Doubling. Doubled Dies should have the same thickness as the rest of the date. Your doubling is very shallow and flat (from what I can see)

As far as the link you posted...I agree..your coin looks like the one in the Second picture of the
1970S...which is a pic of a coin with common MD.


I don't know alot about proofs..but is this one?

I don't think it's a proof. It's not mirrored or anything. I have a lot of older s coins that look like this, but quite a few d's as well.
I just can't be certain that it's MD because the MM isn't doubled.
