mind ya my 16D may be a 16s but at a grade of P1 and the hole is filled I can live with it. The whole set beside the 21P&D both AG3 was picked up at spot at the time of purchace so I never paid more than 3 dollars for any dime been working on this for some time and got the last three today.

Congratulations on your Mercury dime set! I'm just starting my Mercury dimes so have a long way to go. Hopefully it won't be long until I can have a thread like this.

Completing a Mercury dime set on the cheap. I love it! I wish I would have thought of it. I could have saved about $1500... It would be nice to see a picture of the 16D for verification.

well here is what I have in the 16D slot many said they think it is an S but I think the top of the mint mark looks too flat and there looks like a 90 turn on the left side

I'm not saying yours isn't a 16d because I don't know but I will say there are a lot of merc sets out there minus the 16d, including mine. The coin dealer I know once told me about all the sets that come in, minus the keys, set after set with the same glaring hole or holes. He has a good point, you gotta get the keys and I really want to but....

....but I have better things to spend on besides a 16D 500-900 dollars--like bills and mortgage and food ect.
