Hi Larena,that coin does look a little oblong,is it not quite perfectly round ? can you get an accurate weight & measurement, the rim does'nt look as though it has been tampered with so measuring the coin on a few different angles will tell us if it is slightly bigger than a normal 10 cent.

I've often seen older 10c with no reeding, I just put it down to wear. I might have to see if I ever kept any, but I doubt it as they are nearly always so well circulated that unless there were errors, they held no interest for me.

Never bothered to measure or weigh them.

well....thickness is about 1.6mm, weight 6g, and diameter just under 24mm...wish I had batteries in my jewellers scale..could have weighed it more accurately.

Larena,i'd say Nancy is right as the coin is very worn.

Here is one that is a few PSI or a fraction of a millimetre off being a ramstrike.
