I'm not too good with the details of the Canadian Large cents and would appreciate some help. I bought this coin to complete my large cent collection. It's low quality, but it fills the empty spot for now.

I bought it as 1891 'small date' but am not sure how to determine if it is small date. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Easiest way to tell the difference; Large date - centre of 9 is a circle, small date - centre is oval.

Second easiest - compare the 9 to an 1892 or 93. If it's the same, it's the small date.
