I have attempted to attribute this one but feel free to correct my work. RIC44 (b) IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, Radiate and draped bust right/ ROMAE AETERNAE, Roma seated left on shield, holding Victory and spear. I bought this one off ebay for $40. To me the coin appears to be in EF+ condition and I am keeping my fingers crossed. I took a gamble hoping the surface of the coin is in good shape. I will post pictures this weekend when the coin arrives.

Very nice coin--and I think the details will look sharper in person!

Very nice buy, excellent detail. I believe it's an Antoninianus. Not sure of the RIC #.

In double checking the attribution, I had some difficulty distinguishing the difference between RIC 44(b) and 106 (a), but in the end, I think you are correct. The difference is yours I believe is cuirassed, while RIC 106(a) is just draped. Obviously, I still have trouble with "cuirassed" when attributing. Nice coin and I think you may finbd the surface to be better in hand. Generally, the coins I acquire on-line look much better in hand.

I too have had the same experience but you defiantly need to know what to look for in low quality seller photos.

I'm a picky grader and would require the ear to be boldly separated from the crown before considering an EF grade but the fuzzy photo suggests that this is a good looking coin whatever you call it and worth $40 easily.

The coin arrived today. I am quite happy with the obverse but the reverse has some wear.

Nice coin but VF. I don't own a Philip I'd call EF either.

Your photo looks so much better than the sellers images. I think you have a very nice coin.

I have several Philip denarii. This is my best:
