take a look at the "6" you can literally see a small 6 laying over the large 6. What do you think?

Looks like the date was recut. It appears that the 9 also has some doubling on the top loupe.

A lot of small dates look like that on the 6. If it was large over small you'd definitely be able to tell by the 0.

Papatony--captain says its normal. In hand it definitely looks different than my 1960 sd proof in the dansco. Who knows! Lol

Hi joeturbo26I am not coin expert let alone American coin expert...But, I ran your coin through my SPM software and it looks like some sort of doubling as the picture below shows.
