https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDet...9&rfpb=0#TopAuction ends Thursday night, 7/12/2012 Quote:Complete Set of Morgan silver dollars! Once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase this set! This set is complete with 96 coins total, including the 1895 Proof. 21 of the key date coins in this set have been certified and graded by PCGS and NGC. The rest are in Dansco folders. I wish I could say I was "thinking" about it but what do you think these would be worth? Edited by CoinsKelly 07/12/2012 5:50 pm

Man if I had the cash laying around for that I'd go for it.....seems awfully cheap right now....the 1895 Proof is a 45k coin in itself.

I would have guessed about twice as much as it is right now. When I first saw this thread the number 30K came to mind if it had the 95-P which this one does

Its strange with these, sometimes they go way high and other times (like one today at lunch), I watch $5 1/2 eagle and $10 eagles go for below melt. I am really curious to see how much this one goes for.

Too bad there isn't enough time to do proper due diligence. The fine print states that the lot is sold as-is & it's up to the buyer to determine genuineness. I don't know how much it will go up in the final hour but it looks like there might be room to make a profit on this.

This is what we call, in the business, an "understatement."

I see a lot in there labeled improperly cleaned. Is that still worth the price?

I would take the 95-O proof alone and be happy ;)

Ahh. Yes, just did a little research. One of those sold before for over $100k. That's just crazy.

It's not an 1895-O. It's a Philadelphia coin, and there are no business strikes for that year, only Proofs from that mint. Only 880 were struck. It is the absolute stopper to a "complete" Morgan set.

SsuperDdave, ah ok. Didn't catch that. Thought it was an "O" for some reason. That's cool. Can't believe $1 can be worth so much.
