I've never heard of an S-4 except maybe there is one in another Country. G-4, 1864 Indians are plentiful. Report this Post to the Staff

I did a quick google with "S-4", "coins" and "rarity" in the search and the most common reference that seemed to come up for old coins was for the Sheldon scale. There are two different scales associated with Dr. Sheldon. The first is the 70 point scale used for grading (see link at NGC for more information). http://www.ngccoin.com/about/history.asp Another one is a rarity scale and was originally designed for large cents, and is normally prefaced with an "R", not an "S". http://www.coinresource.com/article..._numbers.htm Hope this helps. In that case, how rare is S-4? This coins is listed at $155 a little high price maybe due to rarity? Report this Post to the Staff
