It's a 4 digit repeater, 9689 repeats. 1 in 1000 notes is some form of repeater (solid, 2 digit, 3 digit, or 4 digit), not a huge premium, but still nice to find.

I'm a little confused, which doesn't happen to often but maybe its because I'm still learning.

How is 9689 968 a repeater. It seems to me that you are missing the last 9.

Does it have something to do with the serial number being only 7 digits, unlike US notes with 8? Or does the middle 9 not count?

Bison - There was a thread on here a while ago that discussed this.

I'm not a paper collector, but I 100% agree with you - a note isn't a repeater unless something actually repeats! However, the logic is that if '9689' was to repeat, you would see those 7 digits. Technically, you could expand this to say 1234512 is a 5 digit repeater, 1234561 is a 6 digit repeater, and 1234567 is a 7 digit repeater. The premium stops at 4 digit repeaters though. I suspect it's to be consistent with the US.

With having on 7 digits is what does it BISON. Just not possible to have a repeater unles its only 2 digits which would make it a radar. The OP note, I still consider a repeater but like JG86 said....4 digits is cut off.
