Hello all, I am new to coin collecting and recently came across a coin in my collection that I believe has an error in stamping as well as color.

Was wanting some opinions from all of you as to what I might have.

As you can see from my pictures, it appears to me the coin has been stamped too hard and has a certain color orientation about it that shouldn't be. Now, I do see some oxidation on the front of the coin, but that does not explain the back of it as it is a dark maroon color.

to CCF! An ever so slightly Misaligned Die. The color is due to environmental issues. This is a normal coin.

The strike or stamping is good, as for the color, it appears to be a metal detecting find or at least spent some time in the dirt.

The color, looks like PMD to me.

As for the excess material around the rim, I cannot for the life of me remember what it's called.

Edit: Amida got it

I know what verdigris is, along with what PMD is, I just couldn't remember what MAD was called
