Picked this one up today and am having trouble finding a listing of Maximinus Thrax. Is this the same as just Maximinus? Have found listings at Wildwinds for Sear numbers but what is RIC and would you have a link to that catalog?
I call this one my Roman Jay Leno coin.

Maximinus Thrax was a hugh man, it is believe that he may have suffered from a disorder know as Pituitary Gigantism. The same disorder that the wrestler Andre the Gaint suffered from.

that's very interesting ski, note the prononced chin (leno as IGE mentions), one of the symptoms of the disorder in adults.

another cool coin IGE, I didn't even know about this guy.

Thrax = from Thrace. That was not a place that generally produced emperors and was considered a bit back-woodsey.

It does seem to be a "Hapsburg" chin. Maybe one of the modern collectors could help out by posting a coin of the a monarch with one of these bad boys?
