Pictures are not really clear enough but looks like corrosion and scratches.

Yes, it is type II, the last feather points between C and A. That is something I should look up but its good to verify things. Type I points between I and C in America where type II points between C and A. As far as better pics, this forum only allows pictures up to a certain size.
