As some of you may know I collect old irish and british coins not really american but I decided to bid on an auction on ebay there now and won my first two half dollars.
I would like to know how much these are worth or what you would ppay for them .
(these are the sellers images)
and (i also live in the north of Ireland so its difficult to get US coins here)

Very nice coins. Since the 42 had a minting of around 48 million and the 43 had a minting of around 53 million, they are fairly common. With that in mind they are probably around $14-15 U.S. Still beautiful coins no matter how many were made.

Congrats! I really love the design and am glad I can aquire them easily in the States.

And I agree with the previous posts... $26-$30 sounds about right for the pair.

Actually I paid 20 pound for these I paid the little extra as they are harder to get over here and maybe I can make a little profit on them on my next car boot sale!

I didnt actually try it yet,il make sure to try it later I'm busy atm bpoc1.

Hey John,

(editing as I didn't notice price was in pounds)

I think you did fine.
The coins might be worth a bit less than what you've paid for, but it doesn't mean you can get them for less at your location.

As a rule of thumb, it's pretty much impossible to "flip" coins for a profit unless the shipping price is low (i.e. if you're in Europe, buy US coins for fun, but don't expect to make a quick buck on them).

You got a couple of nice examples, and I suggest you keep them as a silver investment or just enjoy them.

20 pound is $32USD...for not being able to source those coins in an easy manner on your side of the pond I'd say you paid just right for them...

Thanks for the info supgog when I buy of ebay the seller is always in the UK so the postage is never more than 2 pound really and I tend to buy in bulk lots so I can make a few bob (hehe) I've started at a young age (14) lol.
