? why is the last prefix 2006 twenty dollar note so underrated when it come's to a sell price, if people only studied the facts on the print runs it's very clear!
What's with 2008 JC08 notes selling on ebay for over one hundred at a time? there's one millon out there people!
Its not all about print runs. Its about how many are available to collectors.
In the 1990s the RBA didn't announce what the last prefix was. Hence not many of them were collected and they became rare. On the other hand, the RBA now issue first and last prefixes once a year to collectors. So even though JC06 $20 has a low print run, there are a lot of UNC held by collectors. They will never be as rare as 1990s first and last prefixes.
Mob, I'm pretty sure they started selling them to the public in 2009 (2008 notes). Prior to that they were sold through Downies (generally special serials like solids, radars & etc.)
