Hello. I found on auction this large cent 1831. In your opinion it's genuine? How much money is worth in this grade? I saw on ebay prices about 50-150$, nice stake:) Thanks for help.

XF45. I would think $150-$200. One of the N12's I believe.

Yes, it looks good. N12 is in reference to the Die pairing of the cent.

I think that would be quite a bargain if you can get it for $100. Here's a similar 1831 large cent VF35 (slabbed by NGC) currently on ebay as a BuyItNow, offered at $225. History shows 4 offers have been made/rejected so far. Nice coin, I love those die cracks!

I searched online for information about N-12, unfortunately, is quite popular, so I want to offer up to $ 100. You think to fight to higher amount? Cent looks very nice, but I'm worried about abrasion on his cheek. Does it have a big impact on grade?

EDIT: Die cracks in "my" coin are different with cent from link. Is it "my" cent is still N-12?

Best of luck at the the auction. It is a pretty coin and by U.S standards, it could make AU.

If I were offered that coin for $100, I would reach for my wallet so fast that I'd scrape skin off my fingers.

I would strongly discourage people from price checking their coins against coins for sale on ebay. Look at COMPLETED, SOLD LISTINGS.

Thank you for advice, they are very helpful. I only hope that you are not kidding with that price:)

EDIT: Also, I check the prices of coins there (in sold listings).
