I have an american coin which I believe to be an error .There seems to be blocks in between The "IN GOD " and you can barely see the "IN" . Can anyone help me with what type of error it is ? I have quite a few die filled errors but I've never seen one like this .

That is Die Deterioration,very common from 83-90

Hey !! Thanks very much for the education . I'm just beginning to collect pennies and learn more about it . I've got about a 5 gal pail of both canadian and us pennies . I'm hoping to find more as interesting if not more . I can see how this is going to become quit an addiction ! There's so much to learn .
