Can someone explain what's going on with the streaks on the reverse?

I'm thinking that the streaks are from an improper alloy mix or impurities of the metal content.

But, that's just from googling it. Anyone else concur or think differently?

It looks like staining from long term storage in an old folder on the reverse. Being in AG condition and with the issue there is no great need to send it to a grader.

It looks like it was once in an folder. The dried glue on some of the older whitman folders has similar vertical lines.
