@John1 That tiger coin is the first coin in the Lotus Chinese Lunar Series coin from RCM. So far in the series we have: Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon and Snake. Next coin will be the Horse coin.

as of right now? I think my 1/20 gold orca whale but that may change once I start my 1/4 fractional panda collection.
and then I have a few sentimental ones that are simple but are my favourite due to the circumstances. my dad got me a 2011 wedding coin as a gift when I married my wife, and my wife gave me the nation guitar pick triangle coin when she first met me and we were bf/gf.

My favourite coin isn't even a coin at all. Years ago, my mom gave me a token from the Calgary Zoo that she visited in 1967. It was a Centennial of Canadian Confederation and has a cute Apatosaurus (brontosaurus) on it. It's worth nothing and it's not struck very well, but it's my favourite to date.

My favourite coin will always be my first gold metal detecting coin. This is a Celtic coin with a dis-jointed horse on one side and the name of their leader "BODVOC" on the other side. When it came out of the ground it was perfect, not tarnished and looked too good to be real...it had to be a fake. Only after it had been seen by the Celtic Coin Index and the Portable Antiquities Scheme did I believe it was a genuine Celtic coin.

so many to choose from but I'll narrow it to two. For design: For sentimental value: 1999 gold toonie is on the list but that list has literally hundreds of coins on there.

hey @Gobalot, isn't it illegal to have a metal detector in Ireland? I thought all metals in the ground belong to the government there.
maybe you didn't find that in Ireland :)

I have many favorites for different reasons. I will pick this one since I am a Toonie fan (The image on J&M is better than one I could take of my own): I hope they will mint a 5 oz silver with gold plating toonie in 2016 for the 20th anniversary, then that would take #1 spot.
