Came across this fascinating entry from Aug 1841: Which seems to be referencing the Unity States coin, although the 1783 copper Washington coin shown on PCGS CoinFacts reads "Unity States" rather than "United States". Or does another version really exist? Interesting! Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 04/23/2013 09:55 am Washington never saw that coin, it was produced around 1820 in England as were several other "1783" dated Washington pieces.
