I like them. I hate trying to attribute 1798's and 1800's but your 98 appears to be an S-164, an R-4 variety. The 1807 looks to be S-275 and R-3. Is the reverse in normal coin rotation, almost medal rotation, or some other rotation? (Oh and your "1804" is an 1807. )

Especially if the last digit is a "3" or "9"!

With the obverse in north south 12/6 rotation the reverse is 3/9 o'clock rotation.

VG 8 Details on the 1798
F-15 Details on the 1807 (Tempted to go VF Details on this one, as the obverse is strong)

Then chances are I'm missing something on the 1807. S-275 comes in coin rotation, S-276 usually comes in Medal rotation but is found with the reverse rotated all the way around the clock. This would make it more likely to be S-276. my error might be because it looks like the coin was shot at an angle. S-275 and 276 are very similar but the distance for the hair to LIBERTY above is different. The angled shot makes it difficult to accurately judge that separation. (This is why for attributions it is best to see straight on pictures. Angled shots distort placement relationships.)

You are correct....the angle showed the details of the coin better. I did not know it would make your guidance more difficult. Thanks for your input.

Sounds like your just starting collecting Large Cents. I found the easiest way to collect them is to get a year only Album. That way you don't have to mess with all the large dates, small dates, big dates, bent dates, closed numbers and on and on and on. You just get a 1799 or something and put it in the slot for that year. Even at that I still need a lot of them.
