My first WAM ever!

Was looking through a small pile of 2000's and the very last coin happened to be a WAM.
I almost threw this last one into the discarded pile with the rest of them without examining it, thinking... gee, what are the odds that out of about 55-60 coins I just checked, the very last one is going to be it?
Fortunately, diligence intervened and I went ahead and checked it, and voila!

Moral of the story... don't ever give up. It's when you least expect it that a surprise happens!

Nice find. There are a coupe more of them to complete the set. That year's the easiest.

Always wondered if anyone knows exactly why
on these 3 years that the RDV's even occurred.
If the mint did it on purpose then I can see that maybe
the 98 would be the scarcest based only on total mintages
at philadelphia. If it was a mistake on all 3 years then the 2000 would be the logical choice as to scarcity because they should of noticed the mistake somewhere that year thus less were minted. Not a big difference in total mintage figures during those 3 yrs. But a thought anyway.

Never knew about the working dies that were used (quantity).
That makes sense if the numbers are correct then.
Scarcity then would be #1 1999, #2 2000, #3 1998
