I have a buyer interested in an item. He is in Mexico and wants to pay shipping down there. The item will weigh about 5 pounds and the length should be about 12 inches. What would be the best and cheapest way to ship this?

Cheap is not the issue on shipping to a third world country, it's safety in getting it to him. I think Registered mail is your only route.

About how much do you think that will cost? Also, I was a little skeptical of the foreign medium flat rate box. What do you think about it. Thanks.

I checked on registered mail, and it said you could only do it on first class. I can't ship first class since the item weighs five pounds right? Also, can you get insurance on items going to Mexico? I tried it on the shipping calculator and couldn't find any.
