Wow, this thread made a comeback from way back! I have a lot of half dollars I love, but these two are the absolute stone cold locks for my "wouldn't sell it for anything" halves.

I think half dollars have the best history of beautiful U.S. coinage, and they're large enough where you can really see the details.

Thanks scopru! After seeing how this thread has taken off again, I'm kinda wondering how or why it died in the first place.
Some stunning coins here. Tough to choose one favorite.

Bought these in a huge job lot from an auction house. It was hard to pick just a couple, but I made a profit and kept these for free!
