Is there something special about this quarter other than being in nice condition? Does the large/clear S bring that much of a premium? What is normal retail for a coin like this? sorry for all the questions just a little confused

From what I see
It looks like it was your quarter selling on ebay
Did it look BU in hand?

Numismedia price guide has it listed in MS63 at $35.00

Early Washington quarters can sell higher in BU, but if you shop around they can be found below guide prices.

As for the mint mark, from the picture, I can't see enough
detail to see what some of the bidders might be seeing.

And I don't have a Washington quarter variety book ..

So they could be seeing something special .. or just wanting a better grade quarter....

Maybe a CCF on will jump in ..

Looks like a Large S? That one is more valuable.

Oh well, I was just going through some silver I had stacked away in tubes and noticed this one was a little nicer so I listed it individually. Maybe someone got a nice deal.
