Don't think they ever drop off. I think if you leave it there, when they have stock, they will try to fill them

Well folks here's another "funny" twist. As I posted here on page 20 of this thread, I had called Canada Post and was told that despite all previous assurances I would not be getting the Bliss coin I ordered in early September after all. I asked them to cancel my order, but was told it would not be necessary since there would be no coin forthcoming. So wouldn't you know it, last week I noticed my credit card had been authorized for this coin. Now who's willing to bet that I will get it. Or who's willing to be that I won't. And on top of it all we're eventually going to lose our home delivery...

@ Nu moose, I'm now really concerned by what you've reported. Christmas is very close, I cannot afford an extra $200'on my credit card. It wouldn't be so bad, if I didn't already get the coin from my local PO. Hey, I've gotten used to community box delivery the past 9 yrs. my postie still brings oversized or signature parcels to my door. There is a population of 10,000 in my town, and no flyers in the streets or garbage becaus of these boxes. When I was a kid, we made weekly trips to town to get the mail. I lived on a farm for 10 yrs of my youth. It was a welcome change, when I moved to Edmonton and had door to door service. I still miss this convenience. What I find interesting, the small town I grew up by in 70's/80's had the PO open on Saturdays back then and it still does. Yet when I moved away the places I lived only had Monday - Fri hrs for government PO's. How do people see if their credit card has been charged without a statement?

You should be able to check your credit card online, too. The same way you use online banking (if your card is through a bank) or on the website of your card's provider (Capital One, etc.). It's really quite simple and it takes way less time than calling the number.

By phone usually you can't access your very recent transactions (2-3 days).

Quote: allspice Hey guys, just cancel your orders. Or if the coins are already shipped, there is no need to accept the coins. Simply refuse the package at the door or when picking it up at the PO and the package will be sent back. You will then get a full refund (and no return shipping cost). CP was wishy washy about this coin. If you no longer need the coin, why make it your problem? Cancelled 2 minutes ago It was hilarious... the lady at the phone was surprised that the order was from September and that I haven't received it yet...

@ pocket changeI understand your concern, but I'm sure if you check with Canada Post you can find out what's happening and just cancel if they plan to ship you the coins. In my case, it's only my credit card that has been authorized (checked online banking), but this does not mean that I will receive the coin. I won't be sent a shipping confirmation as my order was made with a philatelic account that I have not used in ten years. So if the coin does show up at my door, I probably won't know in advance unless I happen to spot online that my credit card has been charged. I'm willing to chalk this up to general incompetence. With regard to losing mail home delivery, I was never in favour of the community mail boxes when they were first introduced thirty years ago. To me the role of a Post Office is to deliver the mail to your house.

Hmmm back from a short vacation, and what do you know there are some packages waiting for me at the post office...One being, you guessed it the autumn bliss. Which is weird because I was already told by Canadapost that the coin was sold out and I wouldn't be getting one. I was fine with that and have not attempted to buy another one since.
The coin looks nice, but I'm not as blown away by the colour as I thought I'd be. I do like the water effect but I'm not a fan of the skyline. Nice COA 305. Anyone of here return a 305? lol

Looking at the trend, it seemed like the Autumn Bliss coin was commissioned by some third party and or ordered/reserved in large quantities by some third parties. Now they decided they don't want all those coins and returned/release back to RCM and that's how we all eventually getting our coins. That's my theory, what's your?

i don't think the commission theory holds no water, when you commission a coin you are required to purchase a set amount of them, returning them would not be an option..

Quote: The coin arrived today. But there is a scratch on the coin, and the replacement one will be better. They promised the coin is available for replacement. I shipped it back and full refund is deposited to CC. I called and they said no more replacement

Funny I can see why the coin was shipped to me. I did a check of prices this morning and it looks like the it's starting to sell below issue. My coin was probably just a return from someone who was able to hoard them and later return them. If you call in your might be able to get one. I'm still satisfied with the purchase at the end of the day since there is no real dec release.

Quote: Nice COA 305. Anyone of here return a 305? @ chubbycheeks et al: Well, well, well... As half expected my "Bliss" arrived yesterday from Canada Post. There was no protective wrapping. The clamshell with outer covering was simply placed inside a thin open ended envelope meant for stamps! Luckily there was no damage. The COA is # 304!
