Are the mm always in the same positions also?

They are from the same die. But there are more than one die for the small date "S". I made a collage a while back to see if there were different locations of the mint marks:
Need-Your-Help-With-This-1970-S-Small-Date-Penny
I think there are at least 4 different locations on this collage.

Express it as an opinion, point out the evidence for your reasoning, and go for it. All I see is a slightly slippery slope with the inference that a " TPG error" implies some sense of extra value.

Remember this variety has many PUP'S, the easiest being that both points on the 9 are Pointed!!!!!!!! I believe an ole resident cent expert here would agree........Nice pictures COOP...

ive seen ngc miss identify at least six now 7 1970(s) small/large date LMC's, I have not seen pcgs make this mistake once,personally, but ngc is not what it once was,a reputable grading service.
