How would you grade this one? The side by side photos show the true color of the coin. The last 2 photos were taken at an angle to show more details. Thank you for looking!

VF20 and man, what a great great coin. Couple of deep digs but honestly, they wouldn't bother me at all.

The 1914-D is my favorite Lincoln. I have dreamt about owning this date in Mint State. Far and away the toughest Lincoln in MS, I'll scrape together the $3k for an MS63BN eventually. Yours is an attractive VF20 to me.

Thank you for the grades. I was thinking low VF as well. I think I'm going to send this off to PCGS so I'll let you know what their grade when I have it.

I'd slab it too. My only (slight) concern is the lightness of the obverse fields might be considered an old cleaning.

I'm also worried about a possible old cleaning, BadThad; however, I got a great deal on it so a PCGS VF Details slab would be fine with me.

I just wanted to give an update on this coin. I finally got around to submitting it into PCGS and I got the grade today - VF30! Needless to say, I'm very happy with that grade.

Great grade at VF-30, did they mention anything about an old cleaning?

They wouldn't - if it graded, then it graded. If you look at the first picture set, you can see the originality. The other shots have light that's cutting through the patina.
