nalaberong Pillar of the Community Canada 2805 Posts	Posted 01/23/2014 3:18 pm These types of silver coins are probably the most faked in the world, as they were used and accepted nearly everywhere (so people faked them in the past, although nowadays these "old" fakes are also collectible), and now they are widely collected and purchased (so they are faked now, and these fakes are essentially worthless). Swamperbob has several threads on faked coins from the time period. I just didn't want you to think my comment on the mint mark was me saying they were authentic. They look fine to me, as far as no casting bubbles, but I am not an expert as for a counterfeits go. Report this Post to the Staff
