Both of these were rescued from the melt-value tub. The 1964 was a proof-like still in its cellophane wrap, but I cut it out for photography purposes (the plastic was very scratched up). Were these good buys for $14.50 each?

The amount of silver in those silver dollars is just under $13 Canadian today so how could you go wrong for that price?

I would say PL on both coins and $14.50 each is a good purchase.

The 1967 is AU-UNC and the 1964 is a proof like strike. The 1964 is a $20 coin and the 1967 is so common that it is worth melt, but still a nice save and worth every dollar.
